Ashley HomeStore's First Annual Family Easter Egg Hunt

A new Easter tradition for Galveston County families is coming to Dickinson’s Paul Hopkins Park where children can scamper among thousands of Easter eggs filled with prizes at the Ashley HomeStore Annual Family Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31 at 9:00 A.M.

This is a free event and, "we’re creating a new tradition for Galveston County families who have been through so much after Hurricane Harvey,” notes Shawn Seals of Ashley HomeStore in Houston.

Houston Rockets legend and Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy will join team mascot Clutch the Bear to cut the ribbon at 9 a.m. signaling the official opening of the two Easter eggs hunts.

What is the schedule?

There will be 2 egg hunts, one for children ages seven and under and one for children over the age of eight, will begin at 9 a.m. Both will provide children the opportunity to collect eggs filled with prizes such as new bikes, toys and free home furnishings from Ashley HomeStore. Other eggs will give children the chance to win booth game prizes.

How do I attend the egg hunt?

The park can only be accessed via complimentary shuttle service from the new Ashley HomeStore in Dickinson, 3465 Gulf Freeway at FM 517, starting at 7:30 a.m. with the last shuttle departing the store at 8:30 a.m. The store is a one-mile drive from Paul Hopkins Park.

After the Easter egg hunts, the complimentary shuttle transportation will take families back to the Ashley store for photos with the Easter Bunny.
